Saudi's tourism events, festivals help generate revenue, job
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is viewing notable increase in tourism events and festivals, which attracted millions of visitors, support to generate revenue, and make job chances for citizens.
The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), in co-op with tourism development councils and municipal authorities will have staged more than 113 tourism festivals.
Accordingly, those festivals generated over USD2.133bn and supported make more than 86.000 temporary jobs, 70 percent of them for young people.
In addition, the hospitality sector had also posted remarkable increase, while the whole number of hotels in the kingdom grew from 1.465 in 2014 to 1.582 in 2016.
