Food consumption in GCC to reach 52mn tons by 2019
(MENAFN) Food and beverage consumption in the GCC is projected to reach 52mn metric tons by 2019, as announced Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Industrial Park.
Additionally, Dubai Wholesale City (DWSC) has concluded its successful collaboration at one of the region's largest global platforms specialized in the food industry.
Moreover, DWSC proclaimed the launch of light industrial units and refrigerated warehouses at Dubai Industrial Park, spanning an area of 1.5mn square feet.
Meanwhile, the Dubai Industrial Strategy places the food industry as one of its key focus areas, whereas the halal industry is an integral part of Dubai"s strategic pillars.
