    Saudi Oger to lay off all workers in July

    (MENAFN) The Saudi Labor Ministry said that workers of Saudi Oger will be transferred to other firms, after announcement that workers will be laid off starting from July 31.

    Accordingly, there are 1,200 Saudi workers among the total of 8,000 in the company which is owned by the family of Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri and made huge projects in the kingdom, from universities and roads to airports.

    Moreover, the ministry said it planned to move 600 Saudis to other facilities and will continue looking for jobs for the remaining Saudis working there; also it will move 6,000 foreign employees to other firms.

    A memo released by the firm had notified employees that July 31, 2017 will be the last working day in the firm, and the statement said that is in light of "the circumstances that the company is going through."
