    Sudan to seek economic recovery

(MENAFN) As U.S. lifts sanction over Sudan, the African country eyes an economic revival in hopes to overcome the economic disaster the sanction left.

Not so many years ago, Sudanese engineer Ahmed Abdullah used to provide for his family with his USD400 monthly salary, but has since had to take out loans to put food on the table.

Abdullah and his fellow Sudanese are looking forward to a brighter future as the US State Department announced on Friday that some of their toughest economic and trade sanctions on Sudan has come to an end.

The private sector employee said, "We've been barely able to survive as my salary cannot cover even our essential needs, at times when several needs come together, it just becomes impossible".
