New 11 aviation deals approved by UAE at Dubai Airshow
(MENAFN) Eleven new deals for international and local companies has been approved by the UAE's order book during the inaugural day of the Dubai Airshow 2017, deals such as Abu Dhabi Aviation, Lockheed Martin, Thales, Augusta Westland and Global Aerospace Logistics, according to a report.
A deal worth around Dh6 billion (USD1.63 billion) with US aerospace company Lockheed Martin Corp to upgrade F-16 jet fighters has been agreed by the Defence Ministry, the Emirates news agency Wam said quoting a ministry official.
The announcement occurred at a news conference by Major General Abdullah Al Sayed Al Hashemi, Assistant Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Defence and chairman of the Organizing Military Committee of the Dubai Airshow 2017.
