    Tunisia's food trade balance falls

    (MENAFN) According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Tunisia's food trade balance is continuing to fall where in the first ten months of the current year it fell to 65.8 percent compared to 71.1 percent for the same period of 2016.

    With a value of 1,276 million Tunisian dinars (USD510), Tunisia's food trade deficit has widened by 44 percent year-on-year at the end of October, against 884 million dinars (USD354) over the previous year, the ministry said.

    The country's trade deficit rose by 23.5 percent in the first ten months of 2017, to a record high of 13.21 billion dinars (USD5.28 billion), according to the State Statistics Institute.
