Dubai Duty Free end 2017 with USD1.93bn sales
(MENAFN) Dubai Duty Free ended 2017 with $1.93 billion, breaking its record as it increased 5.6% compared to the previous year.
The sales which hit in 2017 comprised of a recent monthly record in December of above $219 million, including the 34th anniversary offer of the retailer which represented a discount of 25% for more than three days.
"We are pleased to announce such a positive year with 2017 marking our 34th year of business," executive vice chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin declared.
The operation hit 27.2 million sales transactions in 2017, a 75,000 sales transactions average each day as merchandise were sold at an overall of 73 million units.
