Jordan: Arab Bank addresses Hamas-related case closure

(MENAFN) Years after Jordan's Arab Bank has been held responsible for supporting Hamas-ties attacks against Israel, a U.S. appeal court has suspended the 2014 jury ruling.

Speaking about the decision, the bank stated "the bank is pleased and relieved for the ruling that stresses the bank's integrity and strong position and its constant adherence to regulatory requirements and international banking standards."

It continued "the Arab Bank will continue to remain committed to implementing the highest standards of integrity in its behavior and banking operations to maintain its leadership position in the banking sector, both in the region and abroad."

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has closed the case which accuses the bank of being responsible for 24 attacks which has struck Israel in the early 2000s.
