    Qatar Petroleum's LNG production to rise to 100mtpa

    (MENAFN) Qatar Petroleum (QP) has set plans, under its Corporate Strategy, to boost its LNG production 100 million from 77 million tonnes per year (mtpa), in an effort to advance the international status of Qatar.

    QP explained the new plans and the foundation of its principles to have been set out in order to make a step forward to fulfilling its objective "to become one of the best national oil and Gas companies, with roots in Qatar and a strong international presence."

    In its statement, QP continued "the rollout signals a new era of growth for Qatar Petroleum, led by the planned expansion of North Field production, which will further boost Qatar's leading global position by raising its LNG production from 77 million to 100 million tonnes per year."

    The new strategy has emerged with QP on the road to development overseas in areas that include the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Mediterranean.
