    Turkey e-commerce sector seeks USD13.2bn boost

    (MENAFN) Turkey was revealed to be targeting its e-commerce volume to reach an USD13.2 billion rise before a new year enters.

    The Informatics Industry Association (TUBISAD) has found the volume of Turkey's e-commerce to have witnessed an USD10.95 billion boost last year, from around USD10.2 billion in the previous year.

    The e-commerce sector is predicted to see a 30-35 percent boost within this year, as confirmed by Chairman of the Association of E-commerce Operators (ETID) Emre Ekmekci.

    The chairman declared "several retail trade firms had a digital transformation in Turkey. The digitization of retail trade will contribute to its growth and the development of the e-commerce culture in the country."
