    Indonesia issues two Islamic bonds on Nasdaq Dubai

    (MENAFN) Indonesia was confirmed to have launched a couple of Islamic bonds (sukuk) on Nasdaq Dubai at a worth of USD3 billion.

    Nasdaq Dubai, the international exchange of the banking free zone Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), has issued an e-emailed statement on the decision.

    It stated that the new listing have highlighted "the close relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country, as well as Dubai's growth as the global capital of the Islamic economy."

    Listed Islamic bonds on Dubai exchanges were also revealed to have arrived at an overall worth of USD56.47 billion, marking it as the most internationally major regulated trading platform for sukuk.
