    Oman records 0.49 percent increase in annual inflation

    (MENAFN) Oman was found to have seen a 0.49 percent rise in annual inflation rate in February, with a 0.05 percent drop in comparison to January.

    The results have appeared based on the National Centre for Statistics and Information's (NCSI) recently published consumer price index (CPI) data.

    The boost in the price index in February was found to have been recorded as a result of raises in prices, including a 0.09 percent increase in water, housing, gas, electricity and other fuels.

    Other increases in prices have been found in regular house maintenance by 1.87 percent, along with 2.23 percent in transport, 4.9 percent in education group, and 0.04 percent in hotels and restaurants, among other categories.
