    Egypt records 38.5 percent boost in exports to Turkey

    (MENAFN) Egypt's minister of trade and industry has declared a 38.5 percent increase in the country's exports to Turkey, reaching around USD2 billion.

    Minister Tarek Kabil also reported a 13.7 percent drop in Egypt's imports from turkey throughout last year.

    The minister stated "Egypt's exports to Turkey achieved an unprecedented growth last year, amounting to 1.998 billion dollars compared with 1.443 billion dollars in 2016."

    He also noted how Egypt is considering Turkey as the second largest importer, with the United Arab Emirates right above it.
