    Israel's tourism injects USD817m to economy

    (MENAFN) Israel's Ministry of Tourism declared the tourism industry to have brought in to the economy USD817 million during January and February of 2018.

    The ministry also reported revenues to have settled at around USD440 million during 2018 in February.

    Tourism Minister Yariv Levin stated "month after month, we are witnessing new achievements and record levels of incoming tourists and I am pleased that impressive increases were recorded in February as well."

    The minister continued "the marketing activities and the innovative steps we are taking, together with the incentives for airlines and investment in infrastructure, are proving themselves month after month, as the tourism industry continues to contribute significantly to the Israeli economy and the labor market."
