Israel working hours to be cut by one hour

(MENAFN) Israel has reportedly decided to take out one working hour weakly, making working hours reach 42 per week, effective from April.

The decision was also reported to be in with an extension order which Israeli Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services Haim Katz approved of.

The move was assured to not lessen employees' wage, as the hourly wage is to rise since it would mean they are to work 182 hours per month and not 186 hours.

It comes after a general collective deal which was agreed on last year by Manufacturers Association of Israel Shraga Brosh and chairman of Histadrut (General Federation of Labor in Israel) Avi Nissenkorn.
