    Jordan reports USD38.69bn in public debt

    (MENAFN) The Jordanian Finance Ministry has declared the country's public debt to have totaled USD38.69 billion, reaching a GDP of 95.6 percent by the end of January.

    The figures were announced in comparison to an amount of USD38.45 billion during the same period of last year.

    The ministry also revealed the net public debt to have amounted to 89.8 percent of the GDP of last year.

    Jordan also recorded a boost to 4.41 percent in the external debt by the end of January of this year, from 41.5 percent by the end of 2017.
