Kuwait, Tajikistan strike USD25.5m loan agreement
(MENAFN) The Kuwait News Agency reported the country to have secured an USD25.5 million loan deal with Tajikistan for the renovation of roads.
The plan is aspired, the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) said, to bring about a strong boost in economy in southeastern Tajikistan.
The deal has come as southeastern Tajikistan was struck with obstruction to residents and goods' movement as a result of falling down infrastructure.
Under the loan agreement, sprawling roads that cover more than 32 km are to be reconstructed, with two weigh stations to be established.
