    February brings decline to Middle East in hospitality sector

    (MENAFN) The Middle East was found to have been undergoing a decline in its hospitality sector throughout February with recording a bad performance.

    The Middle East was seen in STR data to have reported a 0.7 percent decline to 70.5 percent, as it also witnessed a 2.5 percent drop in average daily rate (ADR) to USD150.47.

    Data also revealed the Middle East to have seen an 8.2 percent decline in revenue per available room (RevPAR), reaching USD96.88.

    However, Oman has recorded a boost with 4.0 percent increase in occupancy rates to 73.7 percent, as the ADR went up 1.7 percent to USD453.4 with RevPAR rising 5.8 percent reaching USD334.1.
