    Kuwait to target USD6.6 for industrial city project

    (MENAFN) Kuwait was declared by a senior official to be looking into establishing an industrial city with a USD6.6 billion expected worth of investments.

    The government is to establish a USD600 million infrastructure for the project, Reuters reported citing Kuwait's Public Authority for Industry (PAI) acting general manager Abdulkareem Taqi.

    The general acting manager also reportedly revealed the plan to be looking to generate investments that reach USD6 billion from the private sector for the bulk of the project to be established.

    He also declared the project to be concluded by 2021, while being comprised of industrial facilities along with housing and leisure initiatives.
