    Kuwait's EMAC to build road projects in Egypt

    (MENAFN) EMAC Contracting, an affiliate of Kuwait's Al Kharafi and Sons Group, announced it plans to set a bunch of road flagships in Egypt's new administrative capital, 40km (24.8 miles) east of Cairo, within the upcoming period.

    "The current year will witness delivering seven road projects in the new cities of Obour and New Cairo, as part of the company's infrastructure projects, which are being implemented in the local market," the company's chief executive Samir Fathy said.

    "EMAC's current total contracts reached around 2 billion pounds," he said.

    New Cairo is located on the southeastern edge of Cairo governorate, 25km (15.5 miles) from Maadi and Obour City is located in Qalyubia governorate, 35km (21.7 miles) northeast of Cairo.
