Israel to launch USD275m digital health plan

(MENAFN) Israel was declared to be investing USD275 million in a project to digitize citizens' personal health records.

The country was also confirmed to be cooperating with Germany's SAP SE for data to be collected from Israeli volunteers and set up a database for academics as well as foreign health care companies.

In an emailed statement, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained that the database "is a huge asset and we want to give it to researchers, developers and companies."

The prime minister further added "the interest of global companies is tremendous. I've already met many of them and they all want to come here."
