Jordan, Egypt to set up council for investment cooperation
(MENAFN) Jordan was confirmed to have secured an agreement with Egypt for a council to be set up to enhance investment cooperation among both countries.
The planned council will be, under the terms of the deal, operated for the creation of stronger investment relations and cooperation between Jordan and Egypt.
The signed MoU is to improve bilateral investments as well as sharing data about investors and investment plans that has the ability to meet economic goals, as explained by State Minister for Investment Affairs and President of the Jordan Investment Commission Muhannad Shehadeh.
The Jordanian minister further confirmed the council to be consisting of a delegation of Jordanian and Egyptian businessmen and investors that the Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation and the Jordan Investment Commission will choose.
