    DP World, Mali ink 20-year concession for modern logistics hub

    (MENAFN) The UAE's Dubai Ports (DP) World and Mali were announced to have inked a concession for the construction and operation of an up-to-date logistics hub.

    The 20-year concession is to include establishing a 10-square km logistics outside the Malian capital Bamako.

    In its statement, DP World confirmed the "multimodal logistics platform" Mali Logistics Hub to be consisting of inland container depots along with container freight stations, easing products' import and export.

    It added that the modern hub is to have the capacity of 300,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) of general cargo, and is to be situated on the main road corridor from Dakar of Senegal to Bamako and close to the Dakar-Bamako rail line.
