    Israel posts 27 percent jump in abroad credit card transactions

    (MENAFN) Israel has seen a 7 percent increase in the volume of credit card transactions which have been secured overseas, reaching 22 million during the first quarter this year.

    The figures have been shown in data of which the Bank of Israel released on Monday, compared to figures recorded last year.

    The number of transactions made by Israelis with no card presentation has posted a 36 percent surge to 17.4 million, particularly for purchases on international shopping websites.

    The number of transactions made abroad has jumped 21 percent during the first quarter, hitting USD1.67 million.
