Iraq's state-run companies to develop Mansuriyah gas field
(MENAFN) Iraq state-run companies are set to develop the Mansuriyah gas field following the "delay and failure" of international companies, as unveiled the Iraqi Oil Ministry.
The companies have been tasked with the development of the gas field after foreign companies failed to continue their operations even after constantly being sent government requests.
The order has been made in a statement of which Oil Minister Jabar al-Luaibi has issued to the companies on Tuesday.
Iraq inked an agreement in 2011 with a group led by Turkey's TPAO and including South Korea's Kogas and the Kuwait Energy Company to develop the field in Diyala province.
