Saudi Arabia lifts suspension on oil shipments through key strait
(MENAFN) Saudi Press Agency reported oil shipments using Bab el- Mandeb Strait to have been re-recommenced in Saudi Arabia.
The resumptions of the oil shipments through the strait has taken place early on Saturday, as announced Saudi Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Khalid A. Al-Falih.
The Saudi minister explained the move to have been taken after the Saudi-led coalition verified that required steps to guarantee the safety and security of the coalition states' ships have been employed.
It comes after Saudi Arabia halted all crude oil shipments through the strait of Bab el-Mandeb following a Houthi attack on two giant Saudi oil tankers passing through the strait in the Red Sea.
