Sudan Airways obtains Airbus rehabilitation, operations plan
(MENAFN) Airbus was declared to have delivered rehabilitation and operations program for Sudan Airways to help the Sudanese national carrier over the next ten year.
The plan has been signed during a meeting with each of the Sudanese Transport Minister representatives of the French company.
In a press statement, Transport Minister Makkawi Mohamed Al-Awad voiced his wishes for the carrier to revive its international status following undergoing long-term stalemate in world markets.
Awad noted in an interview that "Sudan Airways could have been bankrupt. It has not performed well in recent years and has difficulties in to pay back its debts to clients, including the Sudanese civil aviation authorities."
