Qatar to see 35 percent decline in H1 arrivals

(MENAFN) Qatar is expected to register a 35 percent year-on-year decline in the number of its tourists during the first half of this year.

The predicted drop was said to be driven by a major fall in arrivals from neighboring GCC countries following the diplomatic dispute which erupted in June of last year.

The figure has been shown in data of which was published by Qatar's Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics (MDPS).

The data also unveiled arrivals to have stood at 944,600 during the first half of this year, a drop from 1.46 million recorded during the same period last year.
