Gaza food program to get USD2.35 support from China
(MENAFN) Gaza was confirmed to be receiving USD2.35 million for this year's food program from China under a deal penned with the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA).
Director of the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, Guo Wei was said to have inked the deal with UNRWA commissioner general Pierre Krahenbuhl.
China has previously granted "great attention to the issue of Palestine and has always shown attention and solidarity for Palestine refugees throughout the region," as stated Krahenbuhl.
Guo also affirmed that "China would like to announce a grant of 100 million yuan (14.64 million dollars) in helping the economy development and improving living conditions of Palestinians."
