Lebanon's MP seeks housing loans reaction

(MENAFN) Lebanon's parliament member Chamel Roukoz has reportedly presented draft legislation on reviving housing loans in Lebanon.

Online newspaper Elnashra cited the parliament member unveiling "we proposed to subsidize each of these loans by 5 percent by the government."

It comes after the Public Corporation for Housing declared on July 8 that applications for housing loans are to be rejected starting July 9.

The Central Bank of Lebanon presented commercial banks USD500 million of funds in February for subsidized housing loans that Lebanese people use in order to purchase apartments.
