Turkish currency keeps falling after US tariffs

(MENAFN) The Turkish currency was revealed to be recording a persistent decline after President Trump doubled steel and aluminum imports from turkey to 50 and 20 percent.

Turkey's Trade Ministry stressed that the move made by the US violated the World Trade Organization's (WTO) regulations.

The Turkish ministry highlighted the country's commitment to implement its trade policy, in line with the WTO.

The ministry stated "we will continue to support our iron, steel and aluminum exporters by defending their interests against illegal practices of other countries on every international platform, especially WTO."
