Jazeera Airways sees boost in H1 revenue, net profit

(MENAFN) Jazeera Airways was announced to have seen 50 percent more passengers, recording a boost in its net profit and revenue during the first half of this year.

The Kuwaiti carrier was unveiled to have registered an increase in its revenue by 43 percent and a raise in its net profit by 6.4 percent during the first six months of 2018.

The airline also confirmed its passenger traffic to have increase to stand at around 900,000 passengers after witnessing several route launches and added capacity.

"Despite the hike in fuel prices during the first half of the year and a volatile competitive landscape that depressed yields, we are pleased to see the efforts and investments throughout 2017 and 2018 are delivering results and attracting more people to fly Jazeera Airways," Chairman Marwan Boodai stated.

"So far in 2018 we've added two Airbus A320 aircraft to our fleet... we have successfully launched our very own terminal at Kuwait International Airport, the first passenger terminal owned by an airline in the Middle East and we introduced five new routes," the chairman added.
