Bahrain eyes bids to build metro railway system
(MENAFN) Bahrain was reportedly unveiled to be looking to hunt for bids for the construction of a metro railway system during the fourth quarter of next year.
The news has been revealed by an official in the Bahraini transport ministry, as reported local newspaper al-Ayam on its website Monday.
The Bahraini official, as cited the report, also announced the planned project to be estimated at a value of USD1-2 billion.
Advisor to the transport minister Abdul Rahman al-Janahi also informed the newspaper that the government is considering looking for private investments in order to partially fund the project.
