Lebanese Finance Ministry to subsidize interest rate on housing loans
(MENAFN) The Lebanese Finance Ministry was announced to have decided to subsidize part of the interest rate on housing loans of which the country's Public Corporation for Housing (PCH) provides.
The news has been unveiled by PCH's General Manager Rony Lahoud, as reported independent online newspaper Elnashra.
The general manager stated "this move is awaiting the cabinet formation because the parliament may not be able to discuss the draft law that will be submitted for this purpose in the absence of a government."
It comes after the PCH made a declaration on July 8th, saying that no applications for housing loans are to be accepted starting July 9th.
