Lebanon's industrial exports up 6.6 percent

(MENAFN) Lebanon was unveiled to have recorded a 6.6 percent increase in its industrial exports during the first five months of this year, reaching USD1.79 billion.

The boost has been driven by the successful launch of new markets by Lebanese industrialists for their goods, as explained head of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists Fadi Gemayel.

Speaking to Xinhua, the association chief stressed that "industrialists have made great efforts in exploring new markets for their products."

The Industry Ministry said in its reports that chemicals have amounts for most of the Lebanese exports in value, followed by food and tobacco, electric equipment and basic metals.
