Sudanese gov't likely to solve bread crisis soon

(MENAFN) Sudan's government was confirmed to likely reach a resolution on the bread crisis over the following three days, with citizens still in line outside bakeries.

Sudan has recorded wheat consumption of 2.5 million tons on a yearly basis, with 800,000 tons of the being local production.

Sudan has been struggling with the bread crisis for over a month as a result of the incapability of the government to purchase necessary supplies that meet the basic needs of citizens, including wheat and fuel.

The ruling National Congress Party (NCP) has been making an effort with implementing a number of actions that aim to solve the crisis and put a stop to it.
