    Egypt posts 77 percent surge in H1 tourism revenue

    (MENAFN) Egypt was unveiled to have posted USD4.8 billion in its tourism revenue during the first half of this year, a 77 percent surge.

    Egypt has welcomed 5 million visitors during the first six months of this year, a boost of 41 percent, as confirmed a government official while speaking to Reuters.

    The official further unveiled that "indicators suggest the sector will earn about $9 billion by the end of this year."

    The official added that a flow of arrivals from Western Europe, Italy, Germany and Ukraine are anticipated to be seen by the end of 2018.
