    Jordan's airport sees 5.7 percent boost in passenger traffic

    (MENAFN) Jordan's Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) was unveiled to have witnessed growing passenger traffic in July by 5.7 percent, receiving more than 900,000 travelers.

    The figures have been revealed in data published by Airport International Group, a Jordanian firm tasked with the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of the Jordanian airport.

    The number of passengers seen in QAIA hit an overall of 918,207 travelers in July this year, from the 868,614 recorded last year during the same period, data showed.

    Airport International Group's CEO Kjeld Binger stated "we are pleased to observe such great results for July and look forward to what the next five months of this fruitful year will bring, especially with us recording yet another historic milestone."

    The group CEO added "as so, we remain wholly committed to delivering an exceptional travel experience that further cements QAIA's standing as the Kingdom's prime gateway to the world."
