    Turkish central bank to tackle record-high inflation

    (MENAFN) The Turkish central bank is planning to employ measures to tackle the highest rate of inflation ever recorded in fifteen years.

    The inflation, which hit its highest pace, caused the surface of projections of an increase to be recorded in next week's interest rates.

    Turkey's annual consumer-price inflation was unveiled to have registered an increase to 17.9 percent, compared to 15.9 percent recorded in July.

    In a statement, the Turkish central bank said in response "we will take necessary actions," stressing that "monetary stance will be adjusted."
