    Jordan's unemployment rate hits 18.7 percent in Q2

    (MENAFN) Jordan was unveiled to have recorded an increase in the rate of unemployment in the second quarter of 2018, hitting 18.7 percent compared to 18.4 percent registered during the first quarter.

    The figures have been announced by the Jordanian Department of Statistics, as reported Anadolu Agency.

    Jordan's unemployment rate witnessed a boost to reach 18.5 percent during the fourth quarter of last year, compared to 18 percent posted during the second quarter of last year.

    The statistics department also revealed the rate of unemployment among women to have hit 26.8 percent, while the rate of jobless men reached 16.6 percent.
