    Turkey sees surge in tourism amid currency crisis

    (MENAFN) Turkey was found to have been receiving a growing number of tourists who are taking advantage of excellent value holiday deals amid a crisis in the Turkish currency.

    The Turkish tourism sector has been able to recovery, as it turned into a necessary source of foreign currency for the Turkish economy.

    The tourism income in Turkey recorded a boost in August by 30 percent year-on-year, with an expectation to generate USD32 billion in foreign currency by the end of 2018.

    In its data, the Ministry of Tourism also anticipates the number of arrivals to hit 40 million people by the end of this year.
