Qatar hails 'strong' Turkish economy fundamentals
(MENAFN) Qatar's economy and commercial minister hailed the economy in Turkey, emphasizing how its fundamentals are "very strong".
The statement has been made by Qatari economy and commercial minister Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani during an interview with Anadolu Agency.
The Qatari minister stated "sometimes in economies, there may be up and downs, but the important thing is fundamentals of economies."
Al Thani added "Qatar has been investing in Turkey for a long time, we trust the Turkish economy, that's why Qatar announced to invest $15 billion in Turkey."
It comes after Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani made an announcement in August of a plan to directly invest a total amount of USD15 billion in Turkey.
