Qatar Airways posts net loss of USD69m

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways was unveiled to have filed more than USD69 million of net losses by March this year, an impact of the Saudi-led blockade.

This phase Qatar is going through had been "the most challenging year in its 20-year history", the airline stressed.

The boycott held a direct effect on Qatar Airways revenues, imposing around 19 percent decline in its passenger traffic, the airline said.

Chief executive Akbar Al Baker stated "this turbulent year has inevitably had an impact on our financial results, which reflect the negative effect the blockade has had on our airline."
