    S. Korea stops oil imports from Iran

(MENAFN) South Korea has indeed suspended its oil imports from Iran, the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum affirmed on Sunday.

The ministry's public relations declared: "it it for three successive months that South Korea has not imported oil from Iran."

The news has been confirmed by public relation manager of the ministry Kasra Nouri, as reported SHANA news agency.

The manager stated "South Korea was the first country to halt Iran's oil imports following the U.S. sanction threats against the country."

SHANA also reported that Seoul imported from Iran 180,000 barrels a day of crude oil ahead of tensions of the US sanctions.
