    Kuwait halts crude exports to US

    (MENAFN) Kuwait was announced to have ended its exports of crude oil to the United States for the first time in over two decades.

    Kuwaiti exports to the US recorded a decline between 2012 and 2014, while the Gulf state begun entering Asian markets and neglecting the US market.

    Asian markets were unveiled to be accounting for 80 percent of the exports of Kuwait, demonstrating a great growth in their transactions.

    Kuwait-manufactured oil, at the best quality, trades across Asian markets at 80 dollars per barrel.
