    Israeli gov't expenditure post USD6.34b surge

    (MENAFN) Israel's government ministries recorded an USD6.34 billion surge in their annual spending last year.

    The annual expenditure of those government ministries registered a 50 percent jump since the start of the decade.

    The figures were unveiled in a financial report the State's Accountant General at the Ministry of Finance issued on Wednesday.

    Israel's government spending last year hit USD85.4 billion, from the USD79 billion posted in the previous year and USD55.67 billion seen in 2010.

    The budget of the Israel Ministry of Health saw a 77 percent boost since 2010, while the budget of the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services recorded a 68 percent increase and the Ministry of Education's budget 65 percent raise.
