    Iran's roads maintenance see USD21.4b costs a year

    (MENAFN) Iran is hit with around USD21.4 billion of domestic roads maintenance costs annually, as announced a top official.

    As reported IRNA, the costs were unveiled by Mohammad Teymouri, deputy director from Iran's Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization (RMTO).

    The deputy director stated: "some 600 million tons of goods and one billion passengers are transported via domestic roads each year."

    Teymouri added that Iran lays out 217,000 kilometers of roads, which stand at a worth of around USD47 billion.
