90.74 percent of Omani crude exports goes to China

(MENAFN) Oman was unveiled to have seen the majority of its crude exports in September 2018 go to China, with 90.74 percent.

Omani crude oil exports to China registered a 10.08 percent boost last month, standing at 27.078 million barrels with an average of 902,611 barrels per day.

The Gulf state was confirmed to have produced an overall of 29.706 million barrels of crude oil and condensate, recording an average of 990,200 barrels per day.

The Ministry of Oil and Gas stated: "the uptrend in crude oil prices in September futures trading has been attributed to several factors, such as the shift-down in U.S. oil inventories and the increase in global demand."

The ministry added "the extra demand came especially from the Asian buyers as a result of the market anticipation of a new round of U.S. sanctions against Iran, resulting in traders' concerns about the lack of global supplies."
