    Iran inks 3 agricultural agreements with Turkey

    (MENAFN) Iran reportedly inked three memorandums of understanding with Turkey in various areas, including horticulture, beekeeping and veterinary affairs.

    Iranian Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Hojjati penned the documents with his Turkish counterpart Bekir Pakdemirli during a meeting in Tehran.

    During the meeting, the Turkish minister stressed that his country is well able to lend Iran a hand in its initiatives to boost greenhouses.

    Eghtesadonline cited Pakdemirli as saying: "we hope you (Iranians) don't go anywhere else for help in this field."

    Iran is targeting the developing of the greenhouse cultivation area, making it rise to over 48,000 hectares by 2025 and increase its output capacity to 21 million tons of agricultural products per year.
