UAE seeks to bolster non-oil economy
(MENAFN) The UAE was suggested to be focusing on boosting its non-oil economy, as it aims to strengthen its international trade regardless of growing oil prices consequences.
The statement was made by Ahmad Al Haddad, chief operating officer of Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority, during an Economic and Trade Promotion Conference of China's Changshu Garment Town in Dubai.
The conference was joined by over 200 delegates looking to encourage the garment from Changshu.
Haddad stated "the share of oil in the UAE economy is less than 30 percent and sinking. From Dubai you reach two thirds of the world's population within eight hours and this region needs investments."
